ரஜினிகாந்த் தமிழக அரசியலுக்குச் சரிப்பட்டு வர மாட்டார். அவர் கட்சி ஆரம்பித்து அண்ணாமலை தலைவராகும் நிலை வந்தது. பிறகு உடல்நிலை காரணமாக அரசியலைக் கைகழுவி விட்டார். தமிழகத்துக்கு தமிழர்களுக்கு நல்ல அரசியல்வாதிகள் லாயக்கில்லை. தமிழர்களின் தரத்துக்கு தற்போதைய தலைவர்கள் தாம் சரிப்படும். இந்த வெற்றிபெற்ற (அனைத்துக் கட்சி… கவுன்சிலர் வரை) அரசியல்வாதிகள் ஒன்று செய்தால் எனக்குத் திருப்தியாக இருக்கும். எங்களூர் ரோடு சரியில்லை, குழாய்ல தண்ணி வரலை, பஸ் வரலை, ரேஷன், காஸ் என்று குறைகளோடு வரும் பெரும்பான்மை ஏழைகளிடம், காசு வாங்கின இல்ல பிச்சைக்காரப் பயலே.. அப்படியே ஓடிப்போடா னு கவுண்டமணி மாதிரி ரியாக்ஷன் தரணும். இவங்களுக்கு ரஜினி சரிப்படும்கறீங்க?
Kavirimainthan Sir, i am sure that my email is not going to be liked by many of your viewers including yourself. But I thought that I should place the other point of view that some of us might have.
I agree that Rajini is a great entertainer and may be a good person, but what has he done for our state or for the people? His voice always comes before his movie releases and then tapers off, but has he taken any issue and made it as a people’s movement like how Rajkumar did in Karnataka. He has not taken any firm stand even in matters related to his industry to safeguard the workers and for insurance against piracy or the astronomical star rates prevalent in Tamil film industry. His movies have all been made for the big producers or corporate and in that way, not like Jaishankar or Vijayakanth who supported small producers.
Leaving aside that, for the state or country, has he really contributed. He offered 1C for linking of rivers but given his wealth, it is almost nothing. Even Sonu Sood did much on philanthropic activities. With the tremendous fan base that he has, he could have made them to dedicate on productive activities, but that also has not been done. We could argue that no Tamil actor is doing anything or contributing to the betterment of people or using their fans to make a real change to society and so, why Rajini alone should be singled. I agree but we seem to.imply that Rajini is different. I feel that all of them are entertainers and that is the end of it. We enjoy their movies and it need not translate into something for people.
Anyway, these are my thoughts and thanks for giving a platform to voice them. Apologies for writing in English. I started in Tamil and midway, not sure how I lost them. Then, went for this English version.
