   Normally the Sangh Parivar(not RSS) is accused of telling others what to wear eat etc For a change we get a chance to comment on RSS dress — This trouser reminds me of the one we used to wear for NCC parades – Probably this is RSS dress for drills only because the RSS spokespersons who appear in TV debates come in regular pants and colourful shirts —RSS will be able to explain why they still wear this dress —

   I have a question here – can anyone associated to the RSS clarify pls ? Especially considering the fact that the RSS and its parivaar are totally against killing cows for meat.

   The RSS leaders wear leather shoes and leather belts during their shakas and associated events
   – why do they wear leather products which come mostly from bovines only?
   – what is the process they follow to ensure and validate that the shoes and belts they are wearing don’t come from slaughtered cows ?
   – Or do they have any tie up with shoe companies that only use leather from buffaloes or other animals only?

   Can anyone clarify? If they don’t follow any such protocols then they better shut their mouth on advising others what to eat and what not to eat..Killing a cow is the same – whether for meat or accessories doesn’t change the fact that a cow is getting slaughtered.

       Thanks nanbare….shoes will remain though right? So the point I made is still valid. Do they have any moral right to lecture others when they don’t practice what they preach?

         And yeah the belt rule has been changed recently by a 90 year old organization…so all this while they weren’t aware of where the belts came from?

           In the original article dated in March 2015 from which I got the link the shoes appear to be canvas shoes – From the article it transpires that the white shirts came in 1940 and the designs of the shoes were changed in 1973 ie 43 years back —
           BTW there is a debate going about cow slughter –Many states have banned it — Please read article 48 of the constitution —
