   The tragedy in Indian politics is that people who were not born before independence pass judgements on those shed blood, sacrificed all their inheritance ,organized community celebration of inter-faith festivities to weld into a united approach to the struggle are being belittled.Every country in the world pay due regards to their past. Only we are trying to rewrite history.It is time some knowledgeable people steer the younger generation to understand the struggle for independence in the proper spirit.

     சமீபத்தில், ஆஷ் துரைக்கு மணி மண்டபம் கட்ட முடிவெடுத்தனர் (அல்லது கட்ட ஆரம்பித்துவிட்டனர்). அதற்குக் காரணம், அவர்தான் எல்லா ஜாதியினரும் குற்றாலத்தில் குளிக்கலாம் என்று சட்டம் போட்டாராம். இப்படி இருக்கிறது நம் விடுதலைப் போராட்டம் பற்றிய அறிவும், அரசியல்வாதிகளின் தேசபக்தியும். நல்லவேளை, ஆஷ் துரை, இந்திய விடுதலைப் போராட்டக்களத்தில் நின்றதாகவும், அதனைப் பொறுத்துக்கொள்ளாத பார்ப்பன சக்திகள்/ஆர் எஸ் எஸ், வாஞ்சிநாதன் மூலமாக அதனை நிறைவேற்றிக்கொண்டதாகவும் தமிழக பாடப்புத்தகங்களில் இன்னும் வரவில்லை.
