ஆங்கில செய்தித் தளம் ஒன்றில் வெளியாகி இருக்கும்
செய்தியை அப்படியே கீழே தந்திருக்கிறேன். இதைத்
தமிழ்ப்படுத்த எனக்கு விருப்பமில்லை; நம் நாடு போகும்
போக்கை பார்க்க எனக்கு வேதனையாக இருக்கிறது.

Ex-Armed Officers Write To President & PM
On Haridwar Hate-Speech –
New Delhi: Five former chiefs of staff of
Indian armed forces along with over hundred
other citizens including various veterans,
bureaucrats wrote to President Ram Nath Kovind
and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, about the
‘hate-speeches’ and regarding ‘open call of
the genocide of Indian Muslims’ at various
events, most recently in Dharam Sansad
at Haridwar and Delhi. The letter refers to
the current border situations. The letter
warns such calls for violence can cause
disharmony internally, and also embolden e
xternal forces.
“Any breach of peace and harmony within the
nation will embolden inimical external forces.
The unity and cohesiveness of our men and
women in uniform, including the Central
Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and Police Forces,
will be seriously affected by allowing
such blatant calls for violence against one
or the other community in our diverse and
plural society,” it said.
Refering to the ‘Dharam Sansad,’ where violence
call against Muslims was directly given,
the letter read as “We are seriously perturbed
by the content of speeches made during a 3-day
religious conclave called a Dharma Sansad,
of Hindu Sadhus and other leaders, held at
Haridwar between 17-19 December 2021.
There were repeated calls for establishing a
Hindu Rashtra and, if required, picking up
weapons and killing of India’s Muslims in
the name of protecting Hinduism,” the letter
said.
The letter also mentions an event in Delhi when a large number of persons gathered in Delhi and publicly took an oath resolving to make India a Hindu nation, by fighting and killing if necessary. “More such seditious meetings are being organised in other places,” it said.
“We cannot allow such incitement to violence together with public expressions of hate – which not only constitute serious breaches of internal security but which could also tear apart the social fabric of our nation. One speaker made a call to the army and police to pick up weapons and participate in the cleanliness drive (safai abhiyan). This amounts to asking the army to participate in the genocide of our own citizens, and is condemnable and unacceptable,” it added.
Seventy six Supreme Court Lawyers have written to Chief Justice of India N V Ramana and have appealed that the Supreme Court to take suo motu cognisance of the calls for “ethnic cleansing” at two recent religious events in Delhi and Haridwar.
Naming a list of people who had given the call, the advocates wrote that in absence of police action, “Urgent judicial intervention is required to prevent such events that seem to have become the order of the day”.

இந்த மாதிரி வன்முறையைத் தூண்டி விடும்,
பொறுப்பற்ற பொறுக்கிகளை – மதத்தின் பெயரால்
கலவரங்களை தூண்டி விடுபவர்களை,
அவர்கள் எந்த மதத்தைச் சேர்ந்தவர்களாக
இருந்தாலும் சரி –
மிகக்கடுமையாக தண்டிக்க வேண்டும்.
சம்பந்தப்பட்ட மதத்தைச் சேர்ந்தவர்கள் யாரும் இதில்
தலையிடக் கூடாது….
இந்த நாட்டில் அமைதியும், நல்லுறவும் நீடிக்க வேண்டுமானால்,
இத்தகையோர் மீது, கடுமையான நடவடிக்கைகள்
மிக மிக அவசியம்….
அரசு செய்யத் தவறுமேயானால்,
நீதிமன்றங்கள் தாமாகவே முன்வந்து இதைச் செய்ய வேண்டும்.
நாகரிகமான குடிமக்கள் யாரும் இந்த மாதிரி பொறுப்பற்ற
பொறுக்கிகளை சமூகத்தில் ஏற்கவோ, மதிக்கவோ கூடாது.

Kaviri Mainthan Sir, Your reply to Bandhu and Tamilzh and the angst you have expressed in the post are absolutely correct.
But we can’t but ask the question when many people …politicians / thinkers /Ex Service Men / Artists who are Hindus condemn such acts / speeches and express their views , I have not heard any sane voices or seen such condemnations worth its mention from minority communities when such hate speeches are being regularly made by many Musilm radical politicians.
This alienates even moderate Hindus .

தங்கள் தங்கள் மதத்தில் தீவிரவாதம் பேசுபவர்களை –
அந்தந்த மதத்தினரே வெளிப்படையாக கண்டிக்க
வேண்டும்…. அவர்களை தங்கள் சமூகத்திலிருந்து
ஒதுக்கி வைப்பதாகவும் அறிவிக்க வேண்டும்.
இந்த நாட்டில் அனைவரும் அமைதியாகவும்,
ஒற்றுமையாகவும் வாழ வேண்டுமானால் –
இப்படிப்பட்டவர்கள் சமூகத்திலிருந்து
களையெடுக்கப்பட வேண்டியது மிக மிக அவசியம்.
என்னைப் பொருத்த வரை – நீங்களே கவனித்திருக்கலாம்.
நான் எப்போதுமே மத நல்லிணக்கத்தை வலியுறுத்தியும்,
வெறியர்கள் எந்த மதத்தில் இருந்தாலும் அவர்களை கண்டித்தும்
எழுதி வந்திருக்கிறேன்….
ஓவைசிக்கு தலையில் கொம்பு முளைத்திருக்கவில்லை;
ஒரு பேட்டை ரவுடிக்கும் – அவருக்கும் எந்தவித வித்தியாசமுமில்லை.
வரம்பு மீறும் நேரங்களில், அரசாங்கம் அவரை குண்டர் சட்டத்தில்
உள்ளே தள்ளினால் கூட நான் வரவேற்பேன்…
